- The names of the eight schools to be selected for participation in the project will be announced at the project launch in Somerset West, near Cape Town, on 17th March, 2011.
The following piece of verse, which was written by Frank McGuinnes (one of Ireland's leading modern playwrights) to mark the opening of the computer laboratory at Intshayelelo Primary School in 2005, both captures the spirit of Protea Education Development Project and underlines the focus of the projects supported by the charity: that is, an emphasis on the importance of knowledge and learning.
